Ways to pay
You can pay for your Zip ride with an ORCA card, a debit or credit card, or cash (exact change required). With ORCA, travel over a period of two hours with just one fare, including multiple trips and transfers to buses and other regional transit options.
How to book a trip with Zip Shuttle
Booking a trip with Zip is easy! Download the Zip Shuttle app to get started (App Store, Google Play). You can also book a trip by calling (833) DIAL-ZIP (342-5947).
Step 1
Get the app
Download the Zip Shuttle app from the Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android to your device.
Step 2
Set up your account
Create your account profile. Select “Special Settings” to let us know if you need wheelchair accessibility or if you are a Reduced Fare cardholder. You can also add a form of payment if you wish to pay with a debit or credit card via the app.
Step 3
Set your pick-up location
Tap on the "Start from" button to set your pick-up location. You can type a business or address and select from a drop-down list, or place a pin on the map of where you'd like to be picked up.
Step 4
Set your destination
Tell us where you'd like to go! Under "Where would you like to go?", click into the "My Destination" field and type in your drop-off location, choose from the search drop-down list, or select a location on the map.
Step 5
Customize your trip
(Optional) Have extra passengers? Need a bike rack, car seat or booster? Click on the "1 Passenger" button above the blue "Book This Ride" button to add passengers or request amenities.
Step 6
Book your trip
The app will show you available trips. Select the one you want to book and tap the blue "Book This Ride" button at the bottom of the screen. The app will pair you with a Zip Shuttle for your trip.
Step 7
Your shuttle is on the way!
You'll receive confirmation that your trip is booked and where you will be picked-up. Get details about your Zip Shuttle, driver, and estimated pick-up time. The app will let you see the vehicle in transit as it makes its way to pick you up. Make sure you're ready to go when your ride arrives!

All Community Transit Zip Shuttle zones moving to one app on Feb. 1

Community Transit is making it even easier for riders to book and manage their Zip Shuttle trips with the launch of the new Zip Shuttle app. Starting Feb. 1, all Zip Shuttle riders in Snohomish County will use the same smartphone app to book rideshare trips in all four Zip Shuttle zones Riders can still book Zip rides by phone.
Zip Shuttle is an on-demand rideshare service that costs the same as a bus ride. The Zip Shuttle app is already in use in three of the Zip zones: Arlington, Darrington, and Lake Stevens. The new app will be required for smartphone booking in the Alderwood zone on Feb. 1, replacing the previously used app. Alderwood customers will need to download the new app, or continue booking by phone.
The new app comes with features that make booking a Zip Shuttle faster, more convenient, and tailored to individual needs.
The Zip Shuttle app’s easier user-interface introduces these features:

- Fast Booking: The app automatically and instantly pairs you with the Zip Shuttle vehicle that will pick you up.

- Saved Favorites: Save frequently visited locations for quick booking.
- Account Customization: Store preferences for faster, hassle-free bookings.
- Additional Options: Request car seats, bike racks, or wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
How to ride Zip Shuttle
With Zip Shuttle, you can request pick up and drop off at any location within a specified zone for the same cost as bus fare – $2.50 for adults or less for eligible reduced fare riders. Youth 18 and under ride free.
To get started, download the “Zip Shuttle” app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to book a ride, or book by calling (425) 521-5600 or toll-free 833-DIAL-ZIP (342-5947). Alderwood zone customers can continue to use the (425) 521-5600 number. Pay with an ORCA card, credit/debit card, or cash (exact change is required). When you pay with an ORCA card, your fare value transfers with you on any transit connections for two hours.
