Share your transit story

What does public transit mean to you? Do you have a story to tell? Community Transit is looking for youth riders aged 13–19 to share how they use our services, including local buses, Swift bus rapid transit, and Zip Shuttle.

What's required?

  • Your parent or guardian’s permission is required to participate
  • If selected, we will ask for your permission to share photos, videos, and quotes from your story in our marketing and website content.

The interview

A Community Transit employee may reach out to invite you to participate in an interview and photo shoot if we choose to feature your story.

Interview details:

  • Participants will be compensated with loaded Visa gift cards at a rate of $40 per hour with a cap of $161 per day.
  • An interviewer will set up a phone call or meeting with you and your guardian to discuss your story and the interview process. This meeting may take up to one hour.
  • You and your parent or guardian will be asked to sign and return forms to grant permission for Community Transit to share your story, images, and quotes.
  • After your phone interview, you will be asked to participate in a video and photo shoot at a Community Transit facility. This will take between one and two hours. You are responsible for transportation to and from the shoot location.
  • Interview candidates will be provided guidance on clothing recommendations for a video and photo shoot and will be asked to wear clothing that is appropriate.
