Changes to Route 120 start March 29

New routing through Lynnwood and more weekday trips for riders

Starting March 29, Route 120 (Lynnwood City Center Station – UW Bothell/Cascadia College) will take a new path in Lynnwood improving service for riders in the area. Instead of its current route, the bus will  travel from Damson Road onto Logan Road, following it around to 4th Ave, before continuing on its usual path toward Bothell.

What’s changing on Route 120?

  • New bus stops: Several new stops will be added along Logan Road and 4th Avenue, giving riders more access to transit.
  • Some stops removed: Two existing stops along Hubbard Rd will no longer be served. If you currently use these stops, check the updated schedule and route map to find the closest alternative.
  • More frequent service: Route 120 will now have more weekday trips, making it easier to catch a bus when you need it.
  • New early Sunday trip: An earlier a.m. trip on Sundays is being added to better serve morning riders.

Why is the route changing?

  • Community Transit has four service changes throughout the year: two larger service changes at the start of spring and fall, and two smaller service changes at the start of summer and winter.
  • These changes improve connections between buses, adjust schedules for actual travel times, and make Community Transit service more reliable.
  • In some cases, these changes are in response to rider comments and requests.

What you need to do before March 29

If you ride Route 120, make sure to check the new schedule and updated bus stop locations ahead of time. Even if your stop isn’t affected, the schedule may be slightly adjusted to reflect the new routing.

Here’s how you can prepare:

Plan ahead for your ride
Most routes will have changes to their schedules during the service change, so be sure to review the new schedule before March 29. This update to Route 120 is designed to improve service and connections, but planning ahead will help make your trip as smooth as possible.
