New video: Learn how to save money when you transfer between transit services

Taking transit? Learn how to use an ORCA card and save.

Are you new to riding transit in Snohomish County? Or are you thinking about taking the bus to connect to light rail? Our new video shows you how to save money when your trip includes multiple trains or buses.

A transfer means switching from one ride to another during your trip, like catching the light rail after taking a bus.  In this new video, we break down everything you need to know about transferring between local transit services.

Here’s an important tip: You can only transfer your fare payment from one ride to another with an ORCA card. Your ORCA card keeps track of what you've already paid, so when you transfer you don't have to pay the full fare each time your board. If you pay with cash, you will have to pay the full amount every time you board a new service. Learn more about ORCA cards here.

Whether you’re commuting to work, exploring new places on transit, or looking for alternatives to driving, this video can help you get started.  Ready to ride? Plan My Trip makes figuring out the best way to get there easy.
