Swift Blue Line and Route 120 will be extended September 14

Routes will have new stops, connecting riders to new areas

On Sept. 14, Community Transit will make major changes to bus service, and riders will have more travel options in Snohomish County. Swift Blue Line (Everett - Shoreline) and Route 120 (Lynnwood - Bothell) will be extended to serve new stops, allowing riders to travel to new areas on these routes.

  • Swift Blue Line currently travels between Everett Station and Aurora Village Transit Center.
  • Starting Sept. 14, it will continue south from Aurora Village Transit Center to the Shoreline North/185th Link light rail station where riders can connect with light rail.
  • Swift Blue Line operates every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 to 20 minutes on early mornings, evenings, and weekends. It connects to Swift Green and Swift Orange lines.

Route 120 extension

Route 120 will be extended to serve the UW Bothell/Cascadia College campus.

  • Route 120 currently travels between Lynnwood City Center Station (formerly Lynnwood Transit Center) and Canyon Park Park & Ride.
  • Starting Sept. 14, Route 120 will continue south from Canyon Park, along Bothell Way and NE 185th St, to extend to the UW Bothell/Cascadia College campus.
  • Route 120 riders will also be able to transfer to Link light rail at Lynnwood City Center Station.
  • The Route 120 extension may be an option for riders who currently ride Route 105, which will be eliminated, or Route 106, which will be modified on Sept. 14.

Important dates

  • Friday, Aug. 30 – Link light rail arrives in Snohomish County.   
  • Sunday, Sept. 1 – Community Transit will be updating fares. All standard adult fares for all Community Transit bus service will be $2.50. 
  • Saturday, Sept. 14 – Community Transit’s major service change.
