Rider Alerts provide emails or texts about changes to your bus route

Community Transit typically has four changes to bus service throughout the year. Additionally, construction, holidays, and severe weather conditions can sometimes disrupt regular bus service and cause temporary stop closures, delays, and changes. When things change, Rider Alerts give you the updates you need so you can plan for your trip.

What is a Rider Alert?
A digital Rider Alert is an email or a text sent to you by Community Transit, letting you know about changes or disruptions to bus service. Community Transit won't share your information; you can opt-in for which routes and topics you'd like to get updates about. Read our privacy policy for more details.

You can opt-in to get Rider Alerts for:

  • Your bus routes
  • Swift lines
  • Community Transit news
  • Transit projects
  • Job opportunities with Community Transit

Community Transit will send trip-related Rider Alerts to riders when:

  • Your bus is more than 10 minutes delayed
  • Your trip is canceled
  • Your trip is rerouted
  • Changes impact your bus stop or transit center
  • There is a scheduled change in bus service
  • Regular bus service hours change
  • Severe weather or construction projects that impact bus service
