On Sept. 14, Community Transit will make major changes to bus service, and riders will have more travel options in Snohomish County. One of these changes includes eliminating some routes and replacing them with new route options, which will help with more reliable bus service in your area.

Route 247 (Stanwood - Seaway Transit Center) will be eliminated and replaced with other bus routes. If you currently ride Route 247, you will take a new route to reach your destination starting Sept. 14.

Your new route options

Route 247 is being replaced with new Route 907 and Route 905.

Route 907 (Stanwood - Seaway)

A map showing the old path of Routes 227 and 247 and which routes will be replacing them starting September 14.

  • Route 907 is the primary replacement for travel to Seaway Transit Center. Route 907 starts at the Stanwood I-5 Park & Ride, travels through Smokey Point, continues down I-5 through Marysville, and ends at Seaway Transit Center, near Boeing.
  • Route 907 will travel southbound from Stanwood in the mornings, and northbound from Seaway in the afternoons.
  • To connect with Route 907 from downtown Stanwood, take new Route 905 and transfer to Route 907 at the Stanwood I-5 Park & Ride.

Route 905 (Stanwood - Lynnwood)

A map of Route 905.

  • While Route 907 is the primary replacement for travel to Seaway Transit Center, Route 905 starts in downtown Stanwood, travels through Smokey Point, continues down I-5, and ends at Lynnwood City Center Station, where riders can connect to light rail.
  • Riders can transfer between Routes 905 and 907 at the Stanwood I-5 Park and Ride.
  • Route 905 is also a good alternative for riders looking to travel midday. Route 905 will run northbound and southbound all day, with increased frequency during busy morning and afternoon commuting hours.
