Big changes are coming to Community Transit as we prepare for light rail to reach Snohomish County later this year. Starting on March 30, you’ll have more travel options in Snohomish County, better transit connections across the region, and more bus service in your area.
Route 196 (Ash Way – Edmonds) is being eliminated and will be replaced with a new bus route starting March 30. If you currently ride Route 196, you will take a new route to reach your destination.
For travel between Edmonds Station and Ash Way Park & Ride, you’ll take the new Route 166. All of the stops will be the same. You’ll also be able to continue east from Ash Way Park & Ride to Silver Firs.
Route 166 will connect to the Swift Blue, Swift Green, and Swift Orange lines. Route 166 will run all day, with service every 30 minutes during weekday peak travel times.
