Community Transit breaks ground on expansion and renovation project

Maintenance and operations facilities to be updated to prepare for increased transit service as county continues to grow

Snohomish County, Wash. – Community Transit, along with several elected officials, will kick off construction and renovation of maintenance and operations buildings in Everett. The upgraded and expanded facilities will ensure timely rollout of the Swift Orange Line, a bus rapid transit (BRT) line that will run between Lynnwood and Mill Creek, and provide connections to Link light rail, beginning in 2024.

Elected officials will also have an opportunity to thank Community Transit employees, including bus drivers, who have provided uninterrupted, essential service throughout the pandemic.
