Governor Inslee and 14 local jurisdictions in the state of Washington have officially proclaimed June as “Ride Transit Month” and are encouraging people to ride transit as much as they could during the month. While Community Transit focuses every day on making travel easier, this is a great time to celebrate riding transit with our fellow agencies and transit advocates across the state.
Throughout Ride Transit Month, Community Transit will be engaging with the communities we serve in Snohomish County, educating people about the services we provide and encouraging people to ride transit.
We've rounded up some of the ways to ride transit and we have Rider Guides to get you started online. We’ll also be at several events this month if you see us out in your community, don’t hesitate to visit with us and ask any questions.
Plan a trip now and see how Community Transit can get you there.
In case you missed it, Community Transit's newest bus rapid transit (BRT) line opened earlier this spring. Swift Orange Line runs through Lynnwood on an east-west route between McCollum Park and Edmonds College. Later this year, Orange Line will connect riders to the new Link light rail coming to Lynnwood City Center Station.
Join us as we explore the charming town of Mukilteo. Check out its popular dining and retail corridor, hike or bike the Japanese Gulch trails, explore the historic Mukilteo Lighthouse Park, and learn about the rich culture and history of the Snohomish people and the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal inspired by their longhouses. Connect to other regional travel via the ferry and local bus service
