New connections.

  • Link up with light rail: Community Transit buses connect you to light rail in Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Shoreline 
  • Leave your car at home: Skip the stress and expense of parking and bypass the worst of traffic when you take to bus to light rail.
  • Save money: When you pay with ORCA. Your fare payment can be transferred between rides for two hours after you first use your card, including when you ride light rail.

More trips.

  • More transit in your neighborhood: Our new network replaces Northgate and downtown Seattle bus service with new express routes to Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace light rail stations. By taking our buses out of Seattle traffic, we can provide more service in Snohomish County. 
  • More service to where you want to be: We're bringing more all-day, frequent transit service closer to where people in Snohomish County region live and work. Our new network provides 32% more service than our 2023 network.

Shorter waits.

  • More frequent service: Our new express 900-series routes offer more frequent connections to light rail stations at Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace.
  • More Swift service: The new network improves and expands access to fast and frequent Swift bus rapid transit lines, including the new Swift Orange Line and our Swift Blue Line extension. 
  • More service at all hours: We're adding more late-night and weekend bus service.

Simplified bus fares start in September

Simplified bus fares start on Sept. 1 — $2.50 for adults, $1.25 discounted fares for those who qualify, and kids ride free. And when you pay with ORCA, your fare can be transferred between rides for up to two hours — including to light rail.

Zip Alderwood Shuttle

Zip brings you an on-demand shared ride service for travel anywhere within our Alderwood service area for $2.50 or less. Zip goes to the Lynnwood City Center station and is a convenient option for connecting to light rail.

Accessible service options

Our diverse fleet of buses, vans, and services are designed to enhance the transportation options for all of the riders we serve. People with disabilities who qualify can use our DART paratransit service as well. Learn more about our accessible service options.

Van

Vanpool

Our Vanpool service helps people start or join shared ride groups so that you can share the ride to work in a Community Transit van, save money, and help reduce the number of cars on the road. Vanpool is also a great option for shared rides to local transit hubs, including light rail stations.
